Your School Games area
Welcome to your SGO view
New to this? The SGO guide walks through every step, and the schools' getting-started guide and video is the one to share with your schools.
Are you also the PE lead at a school?
Lots of SGOs are. Add your school to this login β you don't need a second account.
- 1Add your school. Find it in the list. If it isn't in the league yet you register it (we approve it in less than a day). If a colleague has already registered it, you ask to join.
- 2Same email, same password. Your school goes on the login you're using now, so there's only one to remember.
- 3Switch with one click. A switch at the top of your menu takes you between your SGO view and your school.

Goes = every 30-second attempt a school has recorded, not just each pupil's best, so it shows how active pupils have been. Schools are asked to record every go; a school whose goes are close to its number of pupils skipping may be recording only the best one.
Signing up now
These schools have registered and are waiting for us to check them (usually less than a day).
League tables
Your area's own league: every school in your SGO area that has joined, the same tables schools and families see on the public site.

Open these tables on the public site β β handy for a newsletter or to show schools.
School Games Mark
School Games Mark 2026/27: schools apply from 28 April to 30 July 2027, and SGOs verify by 17 September 2027. Open a school's Mark evidence below to see what VSL has already recorded for it.

π Spirit of the Games = half or more of the school's pupils took part in this period. Mark evidence shows what VSL has recorded; the school's own evidence (clubs, parents, other sports) isn't here.
At expected = pupils who skipped whose best score in the round is at or above the expected score for their year group.
Area finals
Run a live skipping final for your area. The top classes in each year group from a league round qualify. On the day each class sends a team, every skipper does a 30-second speed skip, and the team total wins.

Skipping School awards
Schools apply for Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum from their Toolbox. Some items they tick themselves; the league checks the rest from their scores and Young Leaders. You approve it, or send it back with a note.

Area challenges
Set a time-boxed skipping challenge for every school in your area. Classes compete in their year group, using the scores schools already record. Schools see it on their dashboard. Only schools that share their numbers with you take part.

Toolbox
Free lesson plans
Two free taster lessons from skip-hop, one for Key Stage 1 and one for Key Stage 2. Pass them on to your schools β by email, in your newsletter or at a PE leads' meeting. Schools in the league also find them in their own Toolbox.
Put your area's live table on your partnership website, or print a QR poster for staffrooms, noticeboards and assemblies. The table updates itself as schools add scores.
Paste the code into an "HTML" or "embed" block on your website (in WordPress it's the Custom HTML block). If your website company looks after your site, send them the code. Visitors can switch between the School Cup and the top classes.
Invite schools
Primary schools in your area from the government's schools list. Each one is ticked off as it joins. Schools that chose not to be shared with their SGO aren't listed.

Did you send it?
Your email app opened with the invite written. Add the schools' email addresses, send it, then mark them as invited so you can keep track.
Send invites from the Virtual Skipping League
We'll email each school from support@vsl.org.uk on your behalf, with your sign-up link. Replies come to you. Up to 20 a day; each address is only emailed once every 90 days, and never if they've asked us to stop. If our email is busy, invites wait in a queue and go out within the hour.
Can't see one of your schools?
Search the national list. You can add schools we couldn't place in an area, and move schools from a neighbouring area into yours β we'll let that area's SGO know.
The invite message
This is what the "Write the invite in my email" button puts in your email. You can change it there before you send it.
